The WHO lists the significant virus variants at large. They are:
XBB.1.15 and EG.5. EG.5 is the most recent and they state that it is a highly mutated and recombined virus spike. So what does that mean?
Simple, the spike attached to the ACE II receptor. Now there are about 140 variations of that receptor, most very close.
But the virus spike has mutated so many times that the non-mutating receptor most likely does not match!
Of course neither the CDC nor NIH have a clue, nor are they even examining this issue.
Just pump out vaccine to block the new variants even though they may never really cause a problem!
