As I am cleaning up at years end, an annual practice between Christmas and New Years, I am putting my smallpox vaccine card together with my COVID care in for posterity.
Now my smallpox vaccine has worked for over eighty years. My COVID, meh! I have seen patients with multiple COVID vaccines getting multiple COVID infections. Often worse than the effectiveness of a flu shot.
Perhaps someone at some time will do a post mortem, turn of phrase, on this vaccine process. I liked it conceptually as I noted at the time. In a Galen like manner it was logically efficacious. However practically it was at best marginal.
I surmise it will take some fifty years before we get a reliable story. Frankly I do not think we even know the source of the vaccine deficiencies.
