A year ago the Gov set forth mandates as to who was to be vaccinated first. Not the old and infirmed but the prisons and criminals therein. The old and infirmed were sent to LTC homes where tens of thousands died, and are still dying, and the Prisoners and their Care Takers got the right to go to the front of the line. A recent data shows that after getting to the front of the line, a year later only 41% got vaccinated.
Thus the Gov allowed tens of thousands of old folks to die while those he was trying to protect as "vulnerable" outright rejected his noblesse.
This is what happens when we invent "equity" metrics. They not only do not work but they grossly harm the unprotected.
