English?

When you go around the world almost everyone speaks some English, some, sloppy as it may be. There is one group, however, that speak some distorted language derivative one suspects from English. Namely the English and Australians.

Consider two words.

mumendad

At first I thought this was some Afghan word, or Pakistani. But no, it means mother and father. Kind of like a New Yorker saying howayah, for how are you.

jab

This seems to mean the process of injecting some substance, such as a vaccine, into a person. I learned from my boxing days in NYC that it was a short punch, a jab. Then there is the Jabberwocky, that Lewis Carroll creature from Through the Looking Glass.

Frankly the list goes on. Try a week in England and you will relish a return to Bangkok where you can speak and understand other people.

So:

Mumendad get your jab!
