The Director of NIH states:
Right now, it’s estimated that about half of Americans always wear a mask in public. According to the new study, published in Nature Medicine, if this incomplete rate of mask-wearing continues and social distancing guidelines are not adhered to, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the United States could soar to more than 1 million by the end of February.
But, the data and facts in New Jersey indicate a mortality rate of about 0.5%. To get to 1 million deaths we then need 200 million infected! That is two thirds of the population. You see, past decisions killed off the vulnerable people so only the strong are left.
It is statements like this that lead to total rejection of anyone in DC or related thereto. You see, as an engineer, we deal with real numbers and then look at how they can be reasonably extrapolated. Academics and politicians like to get press time, we like reality.
Oh, by the way, even the 1348 Black Plague was not as pervasive as this one must become according to the academics.
