Order 107

In effort to strengthen the existing social distancing measures in place, the order also prohibits all gatherings of individuals, such as parties, celebrations, or other social events, unless otherwise authorized by the Order. When in public, individuals must practice social distancing and stay at least six feet apart whenever possible, excluding immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners.

The Gov of NJ just issued Order 107 as noted above. I like the "romantic partners" clause. The interesting notes is that the pandemic appeared in mid January by Chinese principals in NEJM, Nature, and other publications. My first comment was February 4, 2020. What I wonder is that if CDC looks at epidemics and pandemics, there must or at least should be an early warning system and process. I guess stopping travel from China helped but perhaps a more robust move should have been taken because even in January the Germans had reported their first cases. The post mortem on this should/must, in my opinion, result in a drastic restructuring of the CDC.
