In a post here on February 4, 2020, I wrote that the virus had become a pandemic. Over the following month, having to go into New York City, I took severe precautions while noting others did not take any. March 9, 2020 was my last day taking a train or public transportation of any kind. Regrettably it remains so. If only the Government had reacted on February 4th this may not have gotten totally out of control. Instead we had a CDC recalcitrant and sending out grossly defective test kits, we al;ready had sequenced viral data, and the folks in DC were playing Impeachment I instead of focusing on the security of the country and the citizens. There is blame to go all around.
Now as we have multiple vaccines out we face the gross incompetence again. Here in New Jersey you can only get a vaccine in your county, not in the State, in New York, you can only get a vaccine if you are a resident withing a certain distance from some center. The State and County mandates reduce remediation to a farce! Pity, politicians never seem to learn anything unless it benefits them personally.
The mutation rate is exploding as I have noted. This pandemic, I regret, is just starting!
