Based upon the obvious gross incompetence of the State of New Jersey to distribute the vaccines let me do a quick back of the envelope calculation.
1. Assume we have about 8 million people
2. Assume we have about one CVS/Walgreens per 4000 people
3. That is 2000 CVS/Walgreens stores
4. Assume they operate from 7 AM to 9PM
5. Assume they can vaccinate 6 people per hour or 70 per day
6. That is 140,000 per day
7. Assume they do it 7 days a week
8. That is about 1 million per week
9. It then takes 8 weeks
10. Done
Now each assumptions has a basis in fact. Not the ones Murphy and his minions deal with, like mega Malls in January on mountain tops for 85 year olds!
New Jersey will deliver another Obama Care web site, crashing for months. CVS/Walgreens has operational ones already. Why try to reinvent thing with incompetents?
The problem is that the State is thinking of operating the Motor Vehicle Bureau, not a vaccination site. Is there anyone who looks forward to a visit to the MVB? The State employees are vicious entities whose sole purpose in life is to get a pension as soon as possible. Vaccination should be focused on saving lives.
