On CNBC the former FDA Head stated:
“They’re going to need to push this out through more retail points, more community points,” Dr. Scott Gottlieb, member of the boards of Pfizer and biotech company Illumina, and former FDA commissioner, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” about New Jersey’s vaccine distribution plan. “They can’t just open up big vaccination centers in giant stadiums and expect 70-year-old people to drive out and line up.”
Been saying that for a while. One wonders what happened to the CVS and Walmart stores we were to use. West Virginia is now almost at 100% utilization whereas The Banker and Nurse Ratchet are vaccinating prisons and the Press.
On the other front, NBC NY reports:
On Wednesday, the state announced it would be expanding its vaccination program to include residents 65 years old or older, as well as those aged between 16 and 64 with underlying health conditions. Some of those conditions include diseases like cancer, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart conditions and COPD. However, the largest group to qualify for the vaccines under the expansion: smokers. The decision to include that group for the highly coveted and much-anticipated shot in the arm — over professions like teachers, which interact with students and the public on a daily basis — has sparked a fiery debate.
Yep, The Banker and Nurse Ratchet really have outdone themselves this time. New Jersey may soon become the most unlivable place on the planet.
